process communication

First question.
I want to describe several separate business processes in the company (A, B, C)
Process D should arise from the relationship of process A and C (without details in the description of A and C). How to create such connections?
Second question.
Is it possible to watch processes in a tree with the possibility of disclosing subprocesses (vertical scalability)?

Hi Rodion,

For the second question I would recommend using hotspots to reveal the sub processes. You could do this by having the layer toggle on and off or by directing to another page using the hotspot. For information on how to accomplish this, see this article: Actions (Links) and Hotspots

The first question is more of a question on how you prefer to diagram. Personally I would have an output from processes A and C that I would have as inputs for process D. To keep them visually connected I would have different colors for the outputs/inputs for A and C and I would consider using the Hotspot feature to link them to the page the other process is on. Unless it is on the same page in which case I would probably have it toggle a layer with a line connecting the previous process.

Hi Rodion,

Thanks for reaching out on Lucidchart Community! I'm not sure I understand your question. Could you post some screenshots to help illustrate what you are trying to accomplish?

First question. I have described the created processes "A" and "C" with my results, let's say this is the documents. A document from process "A" and "C" + external data will have to create document "D". The results of the two processes will be combined into the third, how to do it, how to connect the processes?

Second question. When storing all the described processes, I want to see the map only with the names of the created processes (concept map), if there are connections between them, then see these connections. That is, a view from the top, with the ability to reveal the lower levels of a separate process on a map
