How to disable user auto creation?

Hello,

we've just enabled and configured SAML SSO with our IDP. Turns out that for users who authenticate themselves using SAML SSO a new user with view only rights is created automatically. Is there any way to disable this?

Thanks in advance,
Oskar

Hi Oskar,

Thanks for your post. I've attached a screenshot of where you can alter this setting in the admin panel. We often suggest this option be left on as best practice because enterprise accounts do not have a limit to the amount of view-only users they can add to their account. If a Lucidchart document is shared with an individual and an account is automatically created,  users can access the document as a view-only user without the delay of waiting to be granted access.

Hello Adam,

thanks for the quick reply.

Unfortunately I don't have that option available under SAML - Provisioning. I only have the Notifications option even though I'm a team admin.
Are there any prerequisites to have this available?

Thanks,
Oskar

Hi Oskar,

Thanks for following up on this. Our development team has been notified of an issue admins are experiencing that prevents this option from being visible. If you'd like, I'd be happy to manually update this setting for your account until this functionality is fixed.

Hei Adam,

Good to know. Yes, we would be interested to disable this manually.

Do you know when we could expect this function to be restored for the admins? In case we want the enable this in the future :)

Cheers,
Oskar

Hi Oskar,

Thanks for your response. I've reached out to you via email for a confirmation that you'd like this to be updated. Would you mind replying to that thread so I can make the change? Due to the specific nature of the issue, I'm not able to provide a set timeline for when this will be fixed. However I can confirm our development team is currently looking into the issue. Thanks again for your help and patience!
