Conditional Formatting - How can I UNAPPLY to a specific shape?

So I've got a rather large org chart - split up by division (1200 people total)..

It's showing name/title/role title, and 4 additional data points showing in numerical values.

Additionally, there are some 14 Conditional Formatting rules (background colors, shapes, icons, and other flags) based upon imported data points.

The problem I'm having is that while I've created all these rules to apply across the entire document, I can't seem to get them to "unapply" to specific persons. (in other words, I don't want to show all data for the CEO or upper management on any given division)..

How do I "Unapply" these rules?

I thought it would be as simple as clicking on the individual shape, then going to Rules and "Unapply".. but this doesn't change anything.

What do I do?

Hi Dave,

Thanks for posting in the Lucidchart Community and I'm sorry for the trouble! Unfortunately, what you are trying to do is not currently supported in Lucidchart; there is no way to unapply conditional formatting rules for specific shapes. However, we're always looking for ways to improve our product and your feedback is the best way to do that. Do you mind adding your idea to our feature request form? Ideas submitted here are passed onto our product development team for future product improvements. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Paula,

If the "Unapply" feature on a conditional formatting rule doesn't "unapply' the rule, what DOES it do??

Hi Dave,

The "unapply" option unapplies that rule from your entire document; you cannot unapply the rule for one specific shape. However, depending on how your conditional formatting rules are set up, you may be able to apply another, more specific rule to overrides the rule you want to unapply.

Let me know if you have additional questions.
