How can you 'view' rather than 'edit' on ipad?

Hi. When using Lucidchart on my laptop. there is a button in the top right which says 'Present' which allows me to click around on my document without any editing. It also means that if I click on an object that has a link to a different page, I am taken to the other page. I want to do this on my ipad with the app, but I can't see how. Please help!

Hi Suzi,

Thanks for your response. I am sorry that I misunderstood what you were asking. Unfortunately, we do not have a present mode on the iPad to toggle between different tabs/layers etc. You can access other pages/tabs by clicking the document icon in the top right corner on the iPad. We're always looking for ways to improve Lucidchart, and your feedback is the best way for us to do that. Would you mind adding your idea to our feature request form? This form allows our team to categorize like requests and bring them to our product team. Thanks again for your request!

Hi Suzi,

Thanks for reaching out in the community. If you open a document on the iPad, you can click the arrows pointed outwards diagonally in the bottom right corner and that will put you in view only mode. I hope this helps.

Thanks Andrew - I thought it might be that. But when I click on an item that has a link to another page, nothing happens. On the laptop, it takes me to the other page.

Hi Suzi,

Thanks for your response. The mobile apps are meant for basic editing, while the web application contains more features. Thanks for using Lucidchart.

It's not editing I want to do on the iPad. I have already edited my chart on the laptop, and created the links between the pages. They already exist.

On the iPad, I just want to have my chart in front of me and 'view' it, negotiating through the pages.  When it is in view mode, I need to be able to 'click' on an item (just as I do in view mode on the laptop) and be taken to the page it links to. The link is already there, but it is as if it's not active.

How can I do that on an ipad? It's crucial to my workflow and I would have thought integral to the chart no matter what platform you were viewing it on?

Thank you. Such a shame. To change the page, you need to come out of 'view' mode, into edit mode, change the page, and then go back into 'view' mode. That is just not feasible. To be honest, I would think for a paid product, it would be a bare minimum to be able to demonstrate your chart to others on an ipad in the same way you would on a laptop.I will add it to the feature request form immediately.

Hello, I'm in the same boat as Suzi and would like to know if this is a feature that Lucidchart will be adding to their roadmap? It's a shame to create the complications on a web browser only to not be able to use the mobile device as an extended device. Please update. Thanks in advance.

Hi Joe,

Once the requests have been added to the feature request form, they are escalated to the product team who will then take those into consideration when moving forward with the product.

Unfortunately we don't have a clear timeline as to when this feature will be released, but I'll be sure to update this thread when it does.

Hope this helps!
