Lost Document or Lost Work

Edit didn't save.

I recently opened my lucid chart account and edited the default blank chart, I came back today to see none of my changes was saved, as I understood it, you guys offer auto-save, which doesn't seem like it works for me, or is that also a paid feature?

Kinda bummed, I was trying the product to see if I would actually purchase the paid membership but I don't feel so confident now.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

PS:

The account settings page was also not working for me yesterday, the page would load but not the edit forms and menus.

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for posting! I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with your document. Lucidchart does auto-save documents, and that is not a paid feature, so what you described

If your work is still lost, there are a few things you can do:

1. The work may still be there. Can you double check that you're in the correct account? Sometimes users will use single sign on while signed into a different email account, which can produce errors. I suggest that you make sure you've checked any and all Lucidchart accounts that might be under your email address(es).
2. If your doc is still there, but not updated with your latest work, you can check the revision history. Please see this article (https://lucidchart.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000432423-Revision-History) for information on how you can restore from a previous version. Here's a summary of the steps:

  • Open the document
  • On the right-hand side you'll see an icon of a clock; click on it
  • This will extend a window with a history of your various versions. Simply click on one of the previous versions to restore it

If none of these options work, please reach out to support@lucidchart.com with the document name/URL, and we will take a closer look.

Hope this helps!

1. I am on the correct account, this is the very first time I use the service and used my Google auth to get the account on Tuesday.

2. Revision history is a premium feature, So I signed up for the free Premium trial, gave your instructions a try and was met by a splash saying "this is a premium feature" and no access to the panel you describe, I've tried refreshing the page with dev-tools open (to disable cache) and the same splash keeps coming up.

So I'm gonna need further assistance.

Any help you may provide is greatly appreciated.
