How can I change the background color of my document?

The main background color of a canvas is solid white by default, but you can add color, an image, or a gradient if you want. Users create some really cool documents with colorful backgrounds! To change the background color:

  1. Open the Page Settings via the Menu bar or the Dock at the right.
  2. Change the Fill to solid color, simple gradient, advanced gradient, or an image.

You can also apply these changes to a Master Page and apply the master to your document. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Hello Akbar !

Thanks for the explanations, however I cannot apply the background of my Master page to other pages. Is there any reason for this ?

Thank you :)

Hi Juliette, this is because by default all pages have a transparent background. I suggest to place a feature request for this type of editing and up-vote it.

Was this improved after 1 year?. I want my master to have a background and then be able to transfer that backgroung to all the pages that use that master. How can I do that?

Hi Marco,

Thanks for reaching out. If you'd like to see this added as part of our master page functionality, please submit a feature request form linked by Andres above. Based on the use case you're describing, I'd recommend converting a document that has all of your desired settings to a template. You can do this from your documents page.  I hope this helps!
