Hi Laurent - We briefly removed the Microsoft Office plugin for Word, but it was still accessible to anyone who had installed it already. Sorry for the confusion!

The add-in is now available through the add-in store. Simply install and log in!

Hi Monika,
Thanks for your response, but it seems that the plugin is still unavailable, "This article has been removed from the store." Maybe it comes from a delay enable ??

Hey Laurent- We apologize for the confusion. It has been released to the add-in store, so we are unsure why you cannot download it.

To help us troubleshoot the issue, can you answer a few questions?

1. What version of MS Office are you on?

2. Are you working on a Mac or a PC?

Hi Mitchell, I use both versions. On the windows version I access plugin but I have a message telling me it will soon be unavailable. On the mac it's not accessible at all (I had not downloaded in the past).

Thanks, Laurent. Unfortunately, you need to be on MS Word 2016 or MS Word 365 to access the new Add-On. Additionally, we are working to resolve an issue that could be preventing Mac users from accessing the Add-On. I will update this thread when the issue is resolved.

Thanks for your help and patience!

Thank, I'm on Office 2016 on a Mac as well and have been unable to use the Add-In within any off the Office Products. Word and PowerPoint it isn't even showing as available, Excel at least shows the Add-In and will open but I can't insert any charts into Excel. Also, what about for Office Online? Any plans to bring in support to use this if you're using Word, Excel or PowerPoint Online?

Thanks and looking forward to the updated release in the coming weeks!

Hey Ben- Thanks for the follow-up. Unfortunately, the plug-in does not work for MS Word and PowerPoint yet. Our team is working to resolve this issue ASAP. I will make sure to update this thread when the issues have been resolved.

Do you mind opening a new thread to better track the issues you are experiencing with the MS Excel plug-in? Thanks!

So, this problem has existed for two months now...  For Mac users, this makes LucidChart a dramatically less valuable, less useful tool.  We subscribed specifically to be able to integrate Lucid Charts into our presentations, but now find that we cannot do so.  When will this be available?  And, how about disclosing this to potential customers BEFORE they sign up?  Your current promotion of this feature is very misleading.

Hey Joe- Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry for the confusion and am happy to clarify. "We recently re-launched the Word add-in alongside new add-ins for Excel and PowerPoint. You can find and install all Lucidchart add-ins for Office here. Note that Lucidchart works on Office 2013, 2016, and Office 365. There may be some versions of Office for Mac that are not currently supported, but we are actively working with Microsoft to make it available for all Mac users. I will update this thread as soon as these issues are resolved.

Only the Excel add-in is available for Mac users of Office 365/2016, and it doesn't work. Word and Powerpoint have no add-in in the store.

Hey guys- Thanks again for following this thread. Our MS Word and Excel Add-Ons should work for all Mac users now. The PowerPoint Add-On will be released for Mac users once Microsoft releases add-ons for PowerPoint on Mac. Thanks for your patience!

None of them work for me yet on a mac.  Excel: Shows up but doesn't actually insert the diagram. Word: Add-In crashes, but this is happening for all my add-ins, so probably an issue on my end with Word.  PowerPoint: Add-In doesn't show up at all.

Dear Mitchell,

I have been trying to install Office addins, but without success.

This is because LucidChart applications (and not others) do not appear on "Office applications menu" under Insert ribbon tab neither in Word online or Word 2013 offline.

Do you have any suggestion?

Hi Mitchell I just signed up for Lucidchart free test period. I like the ease of use after VISIO. I found Lucidchart Add-in for MS Word 16 in their store and I can copy a diagram  from Lucindachart into Word. However it does not me edit my diagram in Word, but takes me back to Lucidchart for editing via Internet Explorer. I am then asked to sign in and it takes ages to get in Lucidchart. My normal login to Lucidchart is through Google Chrome. Really frustrating. Any help to to sort me out appreciated. Paul Williams - Sydney Australia

Hi Paul,

Our Add-on doesn't allow you to edit the diagram within Word. You must go back into Lucidchart to edit the diagram. Is Google Chrome your default browser?

Hi Kristy, many thanks for your prompt reply. Yes - Google Chrome is my default browser. How do I set it up to link with the Word app back to Lucidchart? And, will it link and load faster?

Regards, Paul

PS I've temporarily closed my Lucidchart Pro free account while sorting this out. Will I still be able to test the app on the remaining basic free version?

Hi Paul,

This article should explain how to set up your integration with Microsoft word. You should be able to access this integration with your free account.
