Can I create document themes?

The Theme feature is useful for consistently stylizing your diagram without applying the same look over and over to each individual object. You can apply one of our preset themes, or create your own. Each theme applies a tasteful blend of colors, lines, outlines, and text styles to a selected diagram.

To access and preview these themes, click on the preset theme button right to of editor:

Creating and applying your own theme:

  1. Start by styling an object or line with colors, gradients, borders, styles, text, etc.
  2. Open Theme menu that is left of the editor.
  3. Click "Set default"
  1. New theme defaults will appear in the Theme panel.
  2. Click the "Apply all" icon in the graphic panel to apply to existing objects

This looks like a way to copy & paste styles, but it doesn't appear you can actually create a theme you can use in other documents or add to your palette of future themes. For example I can't create a blue theme and a red theme which I can use where I want.

Is there a way to actually create a persistent theme like the other ones that show up in the Theme menu?

Hi Andy, thanks for the post! While there is not a way to make a default theme for each new document, I think you'll find Creating A Custom Template useful. Doing so will allow you to create new documents with the theme you want already enabled. Please let me know if you you have any questions about this!
