Lucidcharts in Google Drive

How do I get the Lucidcharts documents that are shared with me to show up on Google Drive?  I am logged into both platforms with the same Google account already.  However, when I got to "shared with me" section of Google drive, my Lucidcharts documents are not there.

Hi Ben - Unfortunately, Lucidchart files are not native to Google Drive, so they do not appear in the "Shared with Me" folder. Instead, Lucidchart documents appear in their own folder, entitled "Lucidchart" in your Google Drive. If you would like to see the documents that are specifically shared with you, I'd recommend using our Documents Page, which has a "shared" option on the left side navigation.

Ok, that's fine, but I don't even have the "Lucidchart" folder in my Google Drive.  How do I get it to show up?

Hey Ben- Would you mind trying the following steps to make sure that you're synced up properly?

Go to the Google Drive page and uncheck the option for syncing with Drive. Then, open an incognito window in Chrome (you can do this from the file menu). This will open up a new browser that doesn't have you logged into anything, which will ensure there's no conflict between Google accounts.Once you have the incognito window set up, follow these steps:

1. Log into your correct Google Drive account.
2. In a second tab, log into your Lucidchart account.
3. Return to the Google Drive page of your account, and click to enable Google Drive synchronization again.
4. You may also want to check the settings on the Backup/Restore page.

Does this seem to resolve the issue?

It seems that the only option for sharing drawings in Google Drive is out of my drive folder itself or through the LC sharing facility.  I can't find a way to put a drawing up in a shared Drive folder (e.g. customerA->Drawings) and allow others to view or edit that centrally stored drawing.  I'm rather not keep all of my shared drawings either in my personal drive folder out out in the Lucidchart "cloud".  Am I just being dense or is there really no way to out drawing out on a shared folder?

Tim,

Unfortunately there is not a way to share your Lucidchart documents through Google Drive. Instead, you will have to share your Lucidchart documents with collaborators through the Lucidchart cloud. The best way to do this is to share the document through Lucidchart. Please let me know if this works for you and if you have any further questions!
