Change Notifications, Reminders, and the Activity Feed

Change Notifications, Reminders and the Activity Feed are three features that will help you stay in the loop and keep your documents up to date.

Change Notifications send you a notification whenever someone makes changes to a shared document.

To enable Change Notifications:

  1. From the document page, hover your mouse over a document
  2. Select “More”
  3. Select “Get change notifications”

You will now receive email notifications whenever a collaborator on the document makes changes.

You can choose to send yourself reminders to update your documents every X number of days. This can help you to keep your documents current and comply with documentation standards for your industry.

To set Reminders:

  1. From the document page, hover your mouse over a document
  2. Select "More"

  3. Select “Set reminder”
  4. Check the box and enter a number of days in the blank space
  5. Press "Ok"

You will then receive an email reminder to update your document every N days, so it's easier to keep up with documentation standards for your industry.

The Activity Feed allows you to see all changes that have been made to your documents, including who has shared and updated them.

To use the Activity Feed:

  1. Click on the bell icon in the top right corner of the editor. When you have new notifications, a number will appear in front of the icon.

  2. Scroll through the Activity Feed to view your notifications

  3. To change Notification settings, click on the gear icon in the top right corner of the Activity Feed. You can choose which notifications to receive in your Feed as well as on your desktop.
